The Rooms

13th of September, 2009 Soaring into the skyline of historic St. John's, The Rooms combines twenty-first century technology with a striking visual reference to our past. Its unique design mirrors the fishing rooms where families came together to process their catch. The Rooms is also a place to gather. In it, you will find collections, exhibits and programs that tell our stories and interpret our natural world through art, artifacts, archaeology, architecture and archival records. The following exhibitions will be on display during Doors Open: Discovering Bartlett: An Archival Exploration, Archival Mysteries: Where is It?, Republic, Maurice Cullen and His Circle, Ice Age Mammals, Slicing the Waves, Collecting the Arctic: Bob Bartletta's World of the North, and Connections: This Place and Its Early People.
